Spring Football Fundraiser (UPDATE: Stafford Wins G-Day QB Challenge)

football fundraiser - target tossUpdate: In front of a record crowd, Stafford showcased his throwing abilities in a series of drills, including throwing balls into trash cans, through swinging tires and to a fan attempting to run slant routes downfield landing 13 points while the other three quarterbacks combined for seven.  Even though Stafford’s fan partner and volunteer receiver didn’t win the $25,000 prize,  a great time was had by all with Stafford’s fan scoring season tickets.

To raise money for University of Georgia junior outfielder Johnathan Taylor, UGA fans could bid via an online auction at www.georgiadogs.com for a chance to compete with former UGA quarterbacks Eric Zeier, David Greene, DJ Shockley, and Matthew Stafford in a Quarterback Challenge during the G-Day spring football game.  Each winning bidder’s quarterback will compete in three skills challenges as part of a football fundraiser, including throwing routes to the on-field contestants. The quarterback earning the most points in the contests earns their fan partner the chance to participate in a target toss promotion for $25,000 which will be split 50/50 between the Jonathan Taylor Fund and the winning bidder.  If they miss the shot, the winning bidder will still be richly rewarded … taking home a 42” HD LCD TV and (2) 2011 Georgia football season tickets.
