It starts with selling numbered golf balls. Prior to your drop, Odds On will preselect a few winning numbers. On the day of your event, you’ll drop all of the balls onto a designated target from a helicopter, hot air balloon, or cherry-picker. $100,000 App, Scratch & Win
Live Appearance Idea

Looking for some great media contest ideas for your business? Drive station app downloads, increase sponsored revenue, and drive traffic to live appearance and sponsor locations with a customized Scratch, Match and Win card promotion from Odds On!

Last summer, 101.5 FM, Casey’s General Stores and Auto Credit of Southern Illinois gave listeners the chance to win $25,000. To play, listeners first downloaded the CIL-FM app to their mobile device. In order to receive a Scratch, Match & Win card, listeners could show the app at participating Auto Credit locations (or at live appearances at Casey’s), which were broadcast on-air and posted on the station’s website.

After receiving the card, listeners “scratched” six squares on the card to see what they had won. Two stacks of cash would get the listener a free fountain drink or treat at Casey’s, three stacks lead to a free slice of pizza, four lead to a Casey’s prize pack, and five stacks would land the listener an Xbox. And, if a lucky listener unveiled all six stacks of bills, Odds On would write them a check for $25,000!

Giant-Prize Dice Roll

Give listeners, viewers or subscribers the chance to win big this spring with a giant-prize dice roll! Odds On will customize a set of 1″, 4″, 8″ or 16″ dice to feature your station or sponsor logos, your station’s call sign or a ‘winning phrase’ (C-A-S-H, N-E-W-C-A-R).

Last April, the Grand Forks Herald insured one of Odds On’s most popular media contest ideas by giving 100 contestants the chance to win up to $100,000, paid for by Odds On, in a giant-prize dice roll.

Designed to attract new subscribers and reward current subscribers, contestants could register for a chance to win for starting a new subscription, completing an online form, or filling out a registration form that appeared in the paper. While no one won the $100,000 prize, none of the participants left empty-handed. The paper rewarded everyone who participated with one of 100 sponsored consolation prizes including 40-inch TVs, free oil changes, free food, and between $100-$500 in cash.
