How This Holiday Newspaper Promotion Worked…

In the month of December, each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday’s newspaper contained an insert which featured 6 extravagant holiday gifts.  Readers were directed to put the 6 holiday gifts in the order of their choice and drop it off at one of six participating local sponsor locations, for a chance to win $50,000 in prizes!

At the conclusion of the entry period, the newspaper randomly selected one list from each of the six sponsor locations to see if any of the reader’s had placed their items in the same order as Odds On’s preselected winning order.  While none of the selected entries featured the winning order, the promotion drove valuable foot-traffic during the holiday shopping season while allowing the newspaper to showcase selected sponsors and their merchandise.
