Minong, Wis. – Congratulations to Direct Mail winner Ronald Johnson of Mason who won $20,000 this August, courtesy of Link Ford and RV, and paid for by Odds On Promotions.

Johnson won the big prize after driving to the dealership to see if the lucky number on his mailer matched one of four different prize-winning numbers posted at dealership. To his surprise, Johnson’s number matched the number that was on a promotional poster under the $20,000 grand prize image.

Hot Springs, Ark. – Congratulations to direct mail winner Kenneth Quarles of Arkadelphia who scored a brand new 2016 Nissan Altima, valued at $25,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions, in a direct mail promotion developed by a marketing company in Georgia.

Quarles won the brand-new ride after he took his cousin’s advice and drove one hour to the dealership to see if he was the grand prize winner. While Quarles wanted to look at the car, winning number or not, when he got to the dealership, he was shocked to find out the number on his mailer matched a set of grand prize winning numbers posted at the dealership.

But Quarles wasn’t the only big winner of the “Splash Into Savings” Sales Event. The dealership was delighted with the turnout, reporting between 600-800 folks visited, which was well above their expected turnout of 500.

Mars, Penn. – For most couples, rainy weather on your wedding day isn’t usually a cause for celebration, but that wasn’t the case for newlyweds and conditional rebate winner Nicholas and Courtney Calderone. That’s because the Calderone’s recently received a check for $10,000, courtesy of Casa D’Oro Jewelers, and paid for by Odds On Promotions, after it rained 1.09″ on their big day.

To increase visibility and drive engagement ring sales, Reza Liaghat, owner of Casa D’Oro Jewelers runs a very popular “Pray for Rain” promotion where he gives “unlucky” couples a refund of up to $10,000 if it rains 1 inch or more on their wedding day.

According to Odds On’s Damien Anderson, who worked with Liaghat on the promotion, “Weather promotions are a very effective tool for helping retailers stand out from their competitors during the holiday season. Another client, The Diamond Vault, runs a Snow Day Giveaway where anyone that makes a purchase between November 25th and December 24th gets a 100% rebate if it snows 6″ or more on New Year’s Day.”

Gulfport, Miss. – Congratulations to David Rogers of Mobile, Ala., our latest fishing contest winner, who not only broke two state records during the 69th Annual Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo this summer, he also won $20,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions.

Rogers won the big bucks as part of the Rodeo’s Shark Bounty: if any angler was able to land a state record-breaking Tiger Shark before the scales closed on July 4, 2016, they would win $20,000.

Rogers’ prize winning catch, a 390-pounder, broke – or should we say, annihilated – a six-year record that was set in 2010 for a 173-pound Tiger Shark. He also landed a record setting 203-pound Bull Shark. Even more surprising, he broke both records in a single day!
