Monument, Colorado – Talk about a match made in heaven! David Viselli, Director of Marketing with The Colorado Wedding Magazine has reported having an outstanding success with Odds On Promotions’ Lucky List contest.

The promotion, which ran for year, gave brides-to-be the chance to win $50,000 if they could put a list of 8 wedding related services in just the right order. To participate, the brides needed to visit the Colorado Wedding Magazine booth during a participating bridal show and complete an entry form which collected their email address, information about their wedding date, the services they needed, and their budget. If one of the randomly selected brides’ “Lucky List” matched Odds On’s pre-selected Lucky List, she would take home $50,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions.

While there was not a winner this year, Viselli noted that the promotion was a big winner for both the magazine and his advertisers. According to Viselli, “Our sign-ins went from approximately 1,500 to well over 5,000. This provided our advertisers with each bride’s information enabling them to target their market. Because of this promotion our advertising renewal rate went from 70% to 97%. This is a great marketing tool.” Viselli also noted that he will, “absolutely be running the promotion again.”

Prairie Band Scores Casino Marketing Award with Game Show!

Congratulations to the marketing team at Prairie Band Casino & Resort for scoring two Diamond Romero Awards during last month’s Casino Marketing show in Las Vegas.

In a nod to the hugely popular television series, the Mayetta, Kansas casino gave members of a live studio audience the chance to win cash and prizes in a custom game show called Sole Survivor. In between rounds of the game show, the studio audience was treated to a “commercial break” where a lucky audience member got the chance to win up to $100,000, paid for by Odds On, in a customized Pick ‘Til You Win Game. How did the casino’s players like it? The casino ran a sequel! The “second season” of Sole Survivor wrapped up just a few weeks ago.
